Become part of our community

Volunteers are a valued part of the Mercy family and they fulfil a vital role in the important work Mercy Community Services (MCS) undertakes in the community.

If you are interested in food, have food experience or just want to support people with disability, why not consider volunteering at the Cookery Nook?

Volunteers help us to create meaningful work experience and employment outcomes for people, and the more volunteers that are engaged mean the more people we can assist.

All volunteers receive food safety and handling training and we train you so that you can best support people who may experience barriers to employment.

Visit the Mercy Community Services website to find out more about how you can become a volunteer.

Work experience and employment

The Cookery Nook is developing an ecosystem of social venture revolving around food. We provide work experience opportunities and volunteering positions with the aim of creating long-term employment for disadvantaged people.
